Kansas City Royals Announce Two Additional Public Community Meetings for New Ballpark District

Forums to be held Tuesday, January 31st at the Kansas City Urban Youth Academy and February 1st at the Midwest Genealogy Center Community Hall in Independence

The Kansas City Royals will hold two additional public community meetings to discuss the development of a new ballpark district in or around downtown Kansas City; one on Tuesday, January 31st, at the Urban Youth Academy and another on Wednesday, February 1st at the Midwest Genealogy Center Community Hall in Independence, Missouri. The meetings will be another opportunity for the public to hear from Royals’ leaders and local experts engaged with the project on the current vision of the ballpark district and the related positive economic and community benefits for the Kansas City metropolitan area. Both meetings will include a session for questions from the audience.

These additional meetings follow the initial public meeting held in December at the Westport Plexpod and reflect the Royals’ ongoing commitment to seek public input on the new ballpark district.
